Transformative Vision

I joined the ranks of OCAD in 2003 because I felt that my plein air painting had became facile and it stopped being interesting to me. 

I looked at the contemporary art around me, and I didn’t know how to understand it or how my own work could contribute to that conversation. I

n those 3 years I painted and read a lot of cultural theory. I started to understand how art relates to

life and society. I had new ideas about how to continue painting, and my work began to shift.
