Teach the People

After completing my MFA I landed a couple courses at OCAD and this allowed me to finally leave the animation world, where I had continued to work occasionally during my OCAD and U of T studies. 

In the subsequent 15 years I became an itinerant teacher with many jobs at many art schools.

Teaching caused me to reflect a lot on my own training and ways of thinking about painting and art. 

I am a very different teacher today than when I started in 2010. 

I learned that true education is not about grades, attendance and late marks. 

It is about removing preconceive ideas, self imposed barriers and letting imaginations soar. 

Art on the Brain is a developing archive of all of my thoughts in this area.
