Behind the Iron Curtain

I have fond memories of my childhood in 1980s Romania. 

Although I did not think it at the time, everything seemed so much simpler then. Nothing to do, nothing to buy, nowhere to go. 

I was lucky to have parents who encouraged me to pursue my art hobby, friends who shared my passion for drawing, and teachers who built my skills and imagination. 

When Communism fell in 1989, I experienced the powerful feeling that reality can change completely overnight.
