Animated Life

In the late 1990s, I entered the Classical Animation program at Sheridan College, where I learned how to animate by doing hundreds of drawings with pencil on paper, which I would then shoot, frame by frame, on film.
Little did I know that I would never apply these skills since my very first job, and every job thereafter, was computer-based.
My training and work in animation led to movement becoming an important element in my painting. The magic of putting together a series of static drawings and making them appear to move will always be fascinating for me.
In that decade, I did every job in the animation production pipeline, and I worked as a commercial illustrator while continuing to pursue my interest in painting.
